My Urban Landscape Series looks at the gentler side of the urban existence. The natural environment softens and humanizes the harsh edges of this concrete and metal environment. Whether it envelopes the bike paths along the lakefront or alleviates the miles of concrete sidewalks and roadways, it is always a welcome sight. The spectacular detail, color and lines of the natural world are often taken for granted and we don’t always notice the beautiful wild places that bring complexity to the urban landscape.
